Cattle rancher Debbie Lyons-Blythe, White City, Kan., answers one consumer’s questions about how food is grown and raised
CHESTERFIELD, MO. (December 6, 2012) On their family ranch in White City, Kan., cattle rancher, Debbie Lyons-Blythe, recently visited with one consumer to answer her questions about how cattle are grown and raised. U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance and Anderson Live recently partnered on the segment, scheduled to air on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, to connect farmers and ranchers and consumers.
Rebecca, a twenty-four year old recent college graduate, who also recently relocated to New York City from Florida, toured the Blythe Angus Ranch in late November. Rebecca talked extensively with Lyons-Blythe about why and how they grow and raise America’s food. On the Dec. 13, 2012 show, Anderson Live follows Rebecca’s visit to Blythe Angus Ranch, as well as her participation at USFRA’s The Food Dialogues event in New York City in mid-November. This segment rounds out the two-part Anderson Live series where farmers and ranchers sat down with consumers to answer their questions. On October 23, 2012, the show followed another inquisitive viewer, Christina, during her visit to a corn and soybean farm in Illinois where she learned about the role biotechnology plays in farming and ranching.
