This Thursday, August 15, The Food Dialogues: Ohio will take place in collaboration with the Ohio Soybean Council and Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. Experts representing a variety of perspectives will lead a dynamic conversation about food production, farming technologies and protecting the environment.

The Ohio event will feature two distinct discussions focused on biotechnology and sustainability, both moderated by WTVN host, Joel Riley:

  • Biotechnology (GMOs) and Your Food will explore the role of science when it comes to issues tied to food, such as long-term health risks, sustainability and global hunger.
  • Sustainability and Your Food will focus on how our food production system impacts the environment and economy. Experts will talk about what “sustainability” means to them and how we can ensure a safe, sustainable food supply.

This event will bring some of today’s toughest questions and concerns about biotechnology and sustainability to the forefront, giving farmers and ranchers the chance to share their stories and address the questions that matter to consumers most.

The panel discussions will stream live at http://ofb.ag/fooddialogues starting at 11 a.m. EDT. Help drive the conversation by submitting your questions at www.FoodDialogues.com/Ohio.

You can also follow the discussion on Twitter from @USFRA and join the conversation using #FoodD. Share this information with your social media followers, and urge them to join the conversation, too!
