The back-to-school season not only means it’s time for packing lunches and after school snacks but it’s also a time to know more about the food you’re putting in those lunch bags. Food issues like organic, cage free, grass fed, and antibiotic free have received a lot of attention lately, and parents want to know what they mean, and how they impact their families’ health. We’ve enlisted the help of two moms and farmers - USFRA Faces of Farming and Ranching Katie Pratt and Chris Chinn - to help get you ready for back to school lunch planning and family meal planning for those busy school nights.

We invite you to join us on Thursday, August 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. EST, when hosts Katie Pratt (@KatiePratt4) and Chris Chinn (@ChrisChinn) will help you navigate through several key food issues, and provide on-farm expertise and tips on nutritional food planning, packing lunches, and providing snacks. Keep up with the conversation using the hashtag #FoodD, or follow along from USFRA’s Twitter handle, @USFRA.

See you Thursday!
