What is Digital Voices?

As part of our ongoing efforts to inform and educate consumers about how food is grown and raised, USFRA is pleased to announce our new Digital Voices Council! The Council members are sponsored by USFRA and have a breadth of experience and knowledge surrounding today’s agricultural practices and provide additional resources to further the dialogue between farmers, ranchers and consumers.

Maria Brilaki, Fitness Expert

Maria Brilaki is the author of “Surprisingly…Unstuck: The power of small healthy habits in a world addicted to instant results” and the founder of Fitness Reloaded, where she helps people lose weight, exercise regularly, and eat better. To read more from Mara, visit Fitness Reloaded.

Dr. Marybeth Feutz, Veterinarian

Dr. Marybeth Feutz is a Large Animal Internal Medicine Specialist. She consults at her family’s veterinary practice and works on their family-owned beef cattle farm. Dr. Marybeth is passionate about helping people not feel afraid of food or cooking, and not feel guilty about their food choices. Marybeth shares recipes, grocery store tips, kitchen help on her blog My Fearless Kitchen.

Paul Lanoue, Crop Farmer

Paul Lanoue is a 4th generation farmer. He farms 330 acres of conventional corn and soybeans and has a cow/calf operation and a small herd.In addition to farming, Paul is the Farm Business Management instructor for Minnesota West Community and Technical College. Kim Melton, Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist

Kim Melton has been a Registered Dietitian since 1993. She was educated at Purdue University, and has worked in clinical nutrition, consulting and media, Kim enjoys communicating accurate scientific information in an understandable way through her site, Nutrition Pro Consulting.

Natasha Nicholes, Urban Farmer, Blogger

Rosanne Rust, Registered Dietitian

Rosanne is a registered, licensed dietitian-nutritionist with nearly 30 years experience across a broad scope of practice in the nutrition field. As a Nutrition Communications Consultant and owner of Rust Nutrition Services, Rosanne aims to help consumers make sense of science by creating reasonable messages that can help maintain a healthy lifestyle. Annaliese Wegner, Dairy Farmer

Annaliese Wegner is a dairy farmer and blogger in Wisconsin. Annaliese grew up in a 1500 cow dairy farm and has always had a passion for dairy. She attended the University of Wisconsin- River Falls where she majored in Dairy Science and met her husband. Today, Annaliese and Tom are partners in the 650 cow dairy farm with Tom’s parents. Amanda Zaluckyj, Crop Farmer

Amanda is from Southwest Michigan where her family farms 2,000 acres of corn and soybeans. For 26 years, Amanda and her family ran and supplied a roadside market selling their own fresh fruits and vegetables. After graduating college, Amanda attended law school at Michigan State University College of Law and is now a practicing lawyer.
