Who regulates what happens on farms and ranches?

Farmers and ranchers are subject to government and non-governmental regulations that ensure compliance. Governmental source regulations include federal regulations, state regulations and local regulations. Non-governmental source regulations include industry regulations, customer regulation and self-regulations. It is in the farmers and ranchers’ best interest to follow these regulations.
