California ranchers, farmers discuss food in America

DAVIS, CA - Farmers, ranchers and food experts from across the nation will participate in a multi-city town hall style meeting at the Mondavi Institute in Davis. The purpose is to directly answer questions from the American public about how food is grown and raised.

The Food Dialogues is organized by the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.

Experts including California farmers and ranchers will have a conversation via satellite with other food panelists in New York City, Washington D.C. and Fair Oaks Farms, Indiana.

Discussion topics include animal care, antibiotic and hormone use, the economics of farming, food safety and quality, sustainability, nutritional information and more.
