'Food Dialogues' offer opportunity for conversation about food production

A town hall -style discussion on Thursday aims to give Americans the opportunity to ask questions and get some answers regarding food production and broader issues related to food in this country.
The event includes live panels in four different locations across the country, each linked together by technology and available to anyone online at the Food Dialogues website. People can also participate in Twitter conversations or on Facebook by finding the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.
'If you’d like to learn a lot more about how your food is produced, and by whom, and using what kind of technology, no matter whether you’re interested in organic, natural, conventional or otherwise, I would encourage you to join us and participate in the Food Dialogues,' said Hugh Whaley, general manager of the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance, which is coordinating the event.
The live panels will be underway Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central time from California, Indiana, New York City and Washington, D.C.
