Brandon Moseley, Indiana Farmer

Brandon Moseley was born and raised on a family farm near Lafayette, Indiana and has been involved in agriculture his entire life. He was a member of both 4-H and FFA where he achieved the American degree, the highest honor an FFA member can receive.

Brandon graduated from Purdue University in 2008 with a degree in Farm Management. He earned several academic honors, including the Dean’s List and Top Senior Scholar of the Agricultural Economics Department.

While attending college, Brandon worked on his family farm – a 2,600 acre row crop farm and swine operation. After college, he took a part-time position with the research team at Syngenta Crop Protection. He also began a business partnership with friend Brent Bible and together, they manage 2,000 acres of row crops including corn, soybeans, wheat, sweet corn and pumpkins. Approximately two-thirds of their farm is committed to raising seed stock for next year’s production for other farmers. Additionally, Brandon and Brent have a Beck’s Hybrids Seed dealership.

Brandon is married to his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, and they have two daughters.

Neil Moseley, Certified Naturally-Grown Farmer

Neil Moseley, a certified naturally-grown farmer, grew up near Lafayette, Indiana on a large swine and row crop operation. He was active in 4-H and FFA. Neil attended Purdue University in 2005 where he earned a degree in Ag Systems Management and Agribusiness. He also was a member of Farm House fraternity.

Following college, Neil began work at an ag construction company as a drafter, estimator and field worker. In 2008, he chose to start his own farm, Pleasant Acre Farms, where he currently offers a large variety of naturally-grown produce on 20 acres. He has added a high tunnel to his farm, converted an old swine building into a hydroponic greenhouse and installed a biomass burner for heating using renewable energy sources. In addition, he is in the process of adding a commercial kitchen to his farm. Neil markets products at a local farmer’s market, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), and at small wholesale accounts. He also sells products online.

Neil is an active member of the Stockwell United Methodist Church and the Tippecanoe County Farm Bureau board. Neil, his wife Tashney and their three children all live on their farm.

Brent Bible, Indiana Farmer

Brent Bible, an Indiana native, first purchased livestock at age 10 and since then has been involved in all aspects of agriculture. Brent received a degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University where he was a member of the Farm House fraternity. Brent currently serves as the President of Farmhouse International.

Brent, in partnership with Brandon Moseley, farms 2,000 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat, sweet corn and pumpkins. Approximately two-thirds of their farm is committed to raising seed stock for next year’s production for other farmers. Brent and Brandon also have a Beck’s Hybrids Seed dealership. Crops that are not dedicated to seed stock go to ethanol, corn sugar, or soy oil production – all for use within 20 miles of their farm. Nearly one-third of their acres are irrigated.

Brent is active in his community and serves as the chairman of the board for Tipmont REMC, an electrical cooperative that serves 25,000 members in west-central Indiana. He is also active in the Stockwell United Methodist Church, serving as the Treasurer. He and his wife Stacy, a pharmacist, reside in Lafayette, Indiana.
