American farmers and ranchers are invited to participate in an online 'food dialogue,' hosted by the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA), from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CDT on Thursday, Sept. 22.

The virtual meeting will allow farmers and ranchers across the country to join four town hall meetings. During the dialogue, the agriculture industry will come together to talk about how consumers relate to American farmers and ranchers through the food and fiber they produce.

The four town hall meetings will be held in New York City; Washington, D.C.; Fair Oak Farms in Indiana; and the University of California-Davis. USFRA Chairman and American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) President Bob Stallman will be on the Washington panel, and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will speak, as well.

USFRA also will present the results of two national surveys, which represent the views of farmers and of consumers on food and farm issues. The online and town hall meetings are part of the USFRA's mission to engage consumers and increase trust in the U.S. food system.
