Programs

We are uniquely positioned to connect influential consumers and food producers in conversation. Through programming like Faces of Farming & Ranching, our sustainability officers and Discovery Education we seek to educate key audiences about how food is grown and raised by sharing the stories of real food producers. In addition to their other responsibilities, our program participants are also contributors to our blog. Get to know our programming and participants, below.

Faces of Farming & Ranching

The U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) has completed the voting period to find the next Faces of Farming & Ranching winners. Lauren Arbogast (Virginia), Jeremy Brown (Texas), Emily Buck (Ohio),  Katie Roth (Wisconsin) and Lauren Schwab (Ohio).

Discovering Farmland

The U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance® (USFRA) and Discovery Education have partnered for an exciting initiative to engage urban youth with a first-hand glimpse into modern agriculture. Using the award-winning documentary, “FARMLAND, a film by James Moll,” virtual experiences and video content as a foundation, this multi-modal curriculum brings to life critical issues impacting the agriculture industry, such as sustainability, the new science behind farming, and entrepreneurship. The curriculum includes free downloadable, standards aligned lesson plans, a digital exploration and virtual experiences all with accompanying activities. These turnkey tools are designed to engage students as they explore modern agriculture in the classroom.

Sustainability Officers

The U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) created the Sustainability Officers Council to provide food companies with access to the farmer and rancher perspective. It is critical for farmers and ranchers to have a voice in conversations with others in the supply chain about sustainability, food and agriculture. The Sustainability Officers Council allows anyone who would like to speak with a farmer or rancher about current and future sustainability practices in agriculture to easily set up a meeting through USFRA.
