    It depends on where at in the US you are in. In the midwest, it is crazy how high land prices are. In the intermountain west, they havent risen that much. But when i hear of land going for $20,000 an acre for dryland non-irrigated... it makes me want to cry... here where i live irrigated fertile land is only $3-$5000 an acre, which is average and may be profitable. I just dont see land being profitable at those high prices though.
